Sorry about the lack of updates. I have been reading, but there was this one book I read that I just never wanted to leave that land and to write a review, I would have to do that… I really loved the book and the story so I didn’t review it. In addition, I was out of the country with no internet connection these last two weeks. I had a splendid Christmas with my family and paternal grandparents. I miss my family a lot when I am away from them. Growing up as the eldest of four girls, I was always really close to my younger sisters and every time I have to leave them, I get sad. Anyway, I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday! In the next few days, I will be posting reviews to many of the books that I have read. I need to go back and look and see how many books I let lapse. I will probably combine several books in a review and then post three or four big reviews. Like I said, I am far behind in my reviewing. If you had an interesting holiday, please tell me about it. I love to hear what other people do for the holidays. What are some of your family traditions? In my family, when have this thing called “The Mouse”. It is an advent that pretty much controls our lived so the month of December. When we were kids, we thought that the mouse was writing us little messages, but now we all know it is my mother… however, it is something we still do! In addition, on the night before Christmas, we all get to open one present, which always happens to be a new pair of pajamas. Then we change into our new pjs and my mother reads us The Night Before Christmas. Afterwards we put out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. The other thing that we do is “grow” candy canes. What you do is you put a bowl of peppermints under the christmas tree and they “magically” grow progressively larger as the month goes along. It is a lot of fun, especially for young children who still believe. So how about you guys???
