Readathon Update Hour 10

readathon

Well, this update isn’t going to be in my normal manner. So far, I have listened to audio books for 7 hours. I slept through the first two. I have been listening to books because I am multitasking. I got a new bed delivered today and so I spent this whole morning cleaning the apartment and the bedroom so that the bed could be delivered. Now I am in charge of the Goodreads readathon group, so I have been trying to monitor that. I am also trying to put the bed together, though I might have to call in reinforcements for that. I hope, in a few hours, I will be able to read from actual books for a few hours. But I am guessing that I won’t get to read the books that I wanted to read this time. hahaha.

For book updates: I have finished reading Daughters of Eve by Lois Duncan. I didn’t like it all. It felt like a really annoying feminist lecture that came to a conclusion I do not agree with at all. I am now listening to Partials by Dan Wells. I am on part 3 of 12.

Food updates: So far I have had Sourdough Pancakes with peanut butter and syrup, Cheer Wine (not wine, it is a soda. I like to get exotic sodas for readathon), a bowl of bean soup with tomatoes. It is really good. A cup of Wassail. I think that is all for now.

Well, I think that is it for now. If I think of anything else, I will update this post.

Readathon Updates Hours 1-6

Hour 4: Slept through the first two hours. No regrets.

Introduction Meme

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Roseville, California.

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? United we Spy – Ally Carter; Code Name Verity – Elizabeth Wein; Dear Killer – Katherine Ewell; Love Letter to the Dead – Eva Dellaira

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? All of my wonderful cheese. I love cheese! (Especially my homemade cheeseball coated with chili powder)

4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I am a huge soccer addict and Bayern Munich (and the German National Team) are my life. Yay Germany won the World Cup. We are the champions!!!! When I am not obbsessing over them (or reading a million books) I am frequently found cross stitching or crocheting while watching more tv than can possibly be good for you. I am currently studying to take the CPA exam, though I am not entirely sure why I am putting myself through this torture.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? This time, there is a lot that will be different. I didn’t really prep my posts for the co-hosting ahead of time, so I will have to take a break and do that at some point. Additionally, I am one the co-moderators (along with Krista) in charge of the Goodreads Group. We divided that duty between the two of us, but I will spend a lot of time over there, helping to make sure it all runs smoothly. As a matter of fact, I am not entirely sure how much actual reading I will get done this time around. But I regret nothing!
