Readathon Update Hour 10

Well, this update isn’t going to be in my normal manner. So far, I have listened to audio books for 7 hours. I slept through the first two. I have been listening to books because I am multitasking. I got a new bed delivered today and so I spent this whole morning cleaning the apartment and the bedroom so that the bed could be delivered. Now I am in charge of the Goodreads readathon group, so I have been trying to monitor that. I am also trying to put the bed together, though I might have to call in reinforcements for that. I hope, in a few hours, I will be able to read from actual books for a few hours. But I am guessing that I won’t get to read the books that I wanted to read this time. hahaha.

For book updates: I have finished reading Daughters of Eve by Lois Duncan. I didn’t like it all. It felt like a really annoying feminist lecture that came to a conclusion I do not agree with at all. I am now listening to Partials by Dan Wells. I am on part 3 of 12.

Food updates: So far I have had Sourdough Pancakes with peanut butter and syrup, Cheer Wine (not wine, it is a soda. I like to get exotic sodas for readathon), a bowl of bean soup with tomatoes. It is really good. A cup of Wassail. I think that is all for now.

Well, I think that is it for now. If I think of anything else, I will update this post.

  1. I’ve been trying to multitask as well. I’m on my 3rd audiobook and I read 3 Kindle books. Been cheering during the audios. Not enough time to do it all. I think next time I’ll try ALL audiobooks, see how that goes, and just multitask the whole time. Hope you are having a great time!!

  2. eBook review request – Fancy Pants Poetry

Hello Kate, I found your blog on Book Blogger Directory. I’m promoting my eBook titled Fancy Pants Poetry. Would you consider reviewing it?

The poetry you’ll meet in this collection will be biting, defensive, cynical and sarcastic. Dark humour is used to elaborate upon bleak life outlooks. At many times the spirit in these poems are rooted in antonymous rebellion. All that said, the reader will also encounter various instances synonymous with the proverbial “light at the end of tunnel”.
